A 62-year-old woman is in hospital with neck and back injuries following an accident today (Oct 7).

The accident happened at around 11.15 this morning on Riefield Road, Eltham, when a car was in collision with a lorry.

Three ambulance crews and a fire engine attended the scene.

Firefighters needed to cut the roof off the car to rescue one passenger who was trapped inside.

Along with the 62-year-old, two people were taken to Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, with minor injuries.
